| I checked this very extensively on 2 different cars with a 10.5CR VG30DE turboed engine and so based on real life data and not theories. if Carl's fuelpump was not upgraded to a TT pump, then even running over ~9psi is not a good idea The datalogging was done with a conzult and wideband and the AF shoots up (>13AF) as soon as you start to go over 12 psi on a 10.5 CR turboed configuration...even if you have the ECU dump lots of fuel in, the stock 370cc injectors on stock fuelpressure (TT fuelpump !!) just won't flow anymore fuel. Both cars had more or less the same result. >> you can run a higher A/F than 11.5, you just need to account for the extra heat/chance of detonation correct, but keep in mind that this is not a good idea on NA pistons, which are not made to withstand as much heat as the TT pistons. Ofcourse you can raise the fuelpressure for a little extra and add things like WI and larger intercoolers to keep intake temps down to a minimum and lower the chances of detting the engine to pieces.
